Ally Centre of Cape Breton

Welcome to the Ally Centre of Cape Breton’s website!

christine porterMy name is Christine Porter (Chris) and I have been with this organization for the past 22 years, the last 17 of which I have been the Executive Director. It is an honor to serve our vulnerable population. I have been humbled on many occasions as I listen and learn from them. I believe that stigma is one of the most significant causes of health inequities and I am committed to continuing to work on reducing stigma and establishing programs and services that improve the health of this population and our community.

I am thankful for the support of our funders, our community partners, our Board of Directors and for the coveted trust and involvement of the people we serve as we strive to meet the harm reduction needs of Cape Bretoners.

Please drop in and check out what we have to offer and meet the friendly staff and volunteers. I am always up for a good chat and more than happy to show people around and educate on our services.

Cheers,
Chris
